Hey! Happy melinated March (lol). I'm gonna try to get into the habit of posting from mobile more often so that I can post again oopsies... Ok, It's not like I don't post frequently. 1-2 times a month for like 1-2 years straight is like genuinely really good ESPECIALLY compared to other blogs. I was looking at more old-ish forgotten cartoons lately (from Jetix specifically) and MAN. Do YOU have an anime inspired cartoon idea? Are YOU French/canadian/argentinan/italian? Pitching to Jetix for some fucking reason might be for you! :D Ok, but seriously what was with that? well, I'm riffing on this as if I didn't just put Oban Sky Racers on my high-priority watchlist either way.

I mean look at her I'd be evil if I didn't watch this show. What? A weirdly good french-Japanese made show that 5 people have watched? (⊙_⊙) Lomax is on it... Also I.. I just really tend to like them

Winx is awesome miraculous (could've been) awesome, Cybersix is Jaw Dropping, Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go is awesome WITCH is awesome totally spies is, like, so totally amazeballz.

If miraculous stuck with the anime idea it probably would've ended up like Oban which doesn't matter. Because I would've watched it and liked it, and that's all that matters.

My friend Ang had something to say... honestly I didn't expect him to even know about the miraculous pilot.

Ang_TM

animate some 2d dots and be an interesting show or dance and have 7 seasons of 3d slop

Lomax

I'm glad you know about the dot thing because it makes me irrationally angry.

"It would've looked shitty and inconsistent" then have it look shitty and inconsistent!!!

Ang_TM

honestly the clips from the miraculous pilot (?) wouldve probably tempted me to watch the show if i hadnt seen how stupid the real thing came out

Lomax

Proof of concept.

Are you in interested checking out any shows similar to it though? Because there are Plenty

Ang_TM

uh yeah ok i have nothing better to do

Lomax

And by plenty I mean holy fuck watch Heartcatch Precure.

Or Powerpuff Girls Z which is more similar but I just wanted to rep Heartcatch I'm ngl

Or Tokyo Mew Mew

Ok pick one of the last two I mentioned.

Ang_TM

i thought that was an undertale...

i guess ill watch

he ended up watching it the second I told him to. Needless to say I was astonished. And he liked it! That's the power of "girl" cartoons, people. (ahh I'm talking to myself on my blog again...)

Well, on the topic of overseas cartoons, I want to talk a little about Cybersix, which I've started recently. For starters, what the FUCK???

It's... it's BEAUTIFUL... No but like actually, how fucking hard were they whipping those animators to get it SO well animated. Every episode is consistently breathtaking. And the STORY. Gender switching escaped experiment fighting crime with a heart-of-gold bear I mean teacher fawning over them????????? AND SHE HAS AN ENTIRE PANTHER AS HER SIDEKICK??????? More people need to know about this goddamn show. Like, really. It's based off an argentinan comic and sadly never finished before the show was taken off air but I STRONGLY implore that anyone reading this check it out IIMEDIATELY. The only downside is that there's an extremely racist japanese caricature in one of the episodes. I mean, what can you really expect from an argentinan? That being said... it does seem like there was an attempt to make them be genuinely characters who just Happen to be japanese despite... their design. I liked the two of them a lot because--personality wise--they were extremely charming and interesting. woof, this was only supposed to be a little bit of my thoughts.

I'm going to continue chipping away at cosmic baton girl. hianime DIED so I forgot the other shows I was in the middle of watching (lol). I guess it's fine... </3
