I started watching this recently and fell in LOVE. it's so good. I love gothic themed anime and this satiated me immensely. Going in, I thought Allen--the main character--was going to be bland and written like a kid just discovering deviantart. The writing can be cheesy at times, but other than that, my initial thoughts were subverted.
